The BBA institute offers a 6 months training program for ex-inmates.
This includes accommodation and an apprenticeship salary. Our training is based on 4 different pillars:
Theory & practice, Cross disciplinary education, Life skills and our “Give back to the community” section.
More than a linear approach, our courses include the theory aspect of hospitality and practical tests in local bars and various establishments around Cape Town.
GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
Giving back to the community is a key part of our program. We like to be mindful of the fact that no matter how tough your life is, there’s always someone who has to face challenges that are even tougher than yours. Being humble, pushing yourself and sharing with the community are core values in BBA.
It will teach our students how to make the most of life by learning extra hospitality skills.
Our courses will put the focus on tools that we need, in order to live a more productive and fulfilling life. Topics like Nutrition, how to sell yourself and yoga will be developed.
A CROSS DISCIPLINARY EDUCATION
Interdisciplinary instruction involves the use and integration of methods and analytical framework. It helps to consolidate the theory & practice pillar and bring another key to a professional development: Mathematics, Coding, wood science for example will be tough to our students to enlarge theirs capacities.
